Mythos & Practika deeply explores my own history and unravells the threads that connect me with my past; the myths and rituals that formed the fabric of my life. My greatest influence is the continuation of my mother’s strong relationship with her spiritual and physical well-being, traditional Greek healing methods and folklore, as well as my own inherent connection with these. Driven by the direct nature of printmaking, this work is deeply rooted in the connection of memory and intuitive understanding. I work in an experimentative mind-frame which in turn directs the work, making it unpredictable in nature.
