‘Nature speaks…all we have to do is listen’ is about engaging, observing and interrogating my local environment, daily routines and documenting those experiences with what I observed consciously and subconsciously. The main focus area is Linear Park and in particular, Breakout Creek. Through looking at the works of Hamish Fullton, Richard Long and especially that of John Woseley, I have been inspired to create a process based work and to engage with my local environment more directly. Woseley delves into the interconnection between humans and nature, which I interrogated within my own work. Plants are an integral symbol and driving force in my work. In this project, I expanded upon this through broadening my influences to the entire environment and how I interact with it.
